Before analyzing your data you will need to create a master data file of all the data entered instruments. The merging and extraction program was written in Blaise to do this for you. This program is used to merge your data from your CAPI instrument on each individual laptop into one master data set and then to create a script file to open the data file in SAS or SPSS. Note: The algorithm programs are in SAS. If you want to use SPSS, you will need to run the algorithm programs on a SAS data set and then import the SAS data set into SPSS. Instructions for merging and and extracting the data are in the CAPI V19 instructions (see Section VII) on the Instrument Page.
