HCP’s Ron Kessler, PhD, was recently appointed to the board of the Home for Little Wanderers. Dating back to 1799, the Home is America's oldest private, non-profit child and family services agency as well as New England's largest. The over 600 employees and 20 programs at the Home help thousands of children and families each year. The mission of the program is to “ensure the healthy emotional, mental, and social development of children at risk, their families, and communities. The Home's work is guided by a belief in the right of all children to be safe, nurtured, and developed to reach their full potential.” Dr. Kessler has an extensive background with mental health issues and will be a great addition to continuing the success of the program.
