In a recent article in Health Affairs, HCP Professor Thomas G. McGuire, PhD, and a colleague presented their review of evidence for disparities in mental health and mental health care, comparing them with patterns in health. Members of racial and ethnic minorities do not, in general, suffer from health deficits in relation to whites; they do, however, receive appropriate care at lower rates.
