HCP's Lisa Muto receives Dean's Award

HCP Director of Administration Lisa Muto, PhD, was honored with the Dean’s Award for Leadership in the Advancement of Women Staff in a ceremony at Harvard Medical School. The award, presented by Dean Joseph B. Martin, MD, PhD, recognized Dr. Muto’s exceptional contributions in helping cultivate and advance women’s careers at the Medical School and the Longwood Medical Area.

In announcing the award, Beth Beighlie, cochair of the HMS/HSDM Joint Committee on the Status of Women, quoted from several remarks written by those who nominated Dr. Muto:

“Whether it’s advising, mentoring, listening, or advocating, Lisa Muto is a champion of women. She consistently takes the time for women who are at the beginning of their careers; advises women on next career moves, and strategizes with colleagues. The LMA and the University count on her for sage advice on various committees and for thoughtful and caring leadership.”
